“Prinsjesdag” (Budget Day) is the day when the Minister of Finance presents the budget to the House of Representatives on the third Tuesday in September. This year, it says that the defense budget will increase to 15 billion euros in 2023 and almost 19 billion euros in 2025. The 2% norm, the maxim of NATO for the fulfillment of constitutional tasks, is thus in sight.
